Single Estate Speciality - Ngu Shweli Myanmar
Ngu Shweli is the oldest coffee estate in the Mandalay region and is located in the scenic hill town of Pyin Oo Lwin.
The owner, U Kyaw Sein, founded the estate in 1997 when he decided to turn his hand to coffee after trying both pea farming and jade mining!
Of the farm's 235 acres, 215 are given over to coffee with the remaining 20 acres made up of rocky terrain unsuitable for coffee growing.
The farm's Natural processed coffees are dried and milled on-site using experimental processing methods - this year the cherries were dried initially on plastic sheeting before being transferred to bamboo ‘trays’.
All our coffee is freshly roasted and sold either as whole beans, espresso or a cafetière grind. If you'd like a different grind, or have a question for us please get in touch and send us a message.
